How to use the anagram solver
Put all your letters in the rack box — the solver rearranges them into every word in the open ENABLE English word list, longest first. Add a length or starting/ending letters to narrow huge racks. Great for jumbles, word scrambles and crossword anagrams. For tournament play, confirm a word in the official game dictionary.
Step by step
- Enter your letters. Type every letter you have into the rack box. Order does not matter — an anagram solver treats RAISTEB the same as BAITERS.
- Mark blanks with ? Each question mark stands for any letter, exactly like a blank Scrabble tile. Two blanks are supported, but expect a much longer results list.
- Filter if the list is huge. Seven or eight letters can produce hundreds of words. Set an exact length, or fill in Starts with / Ends with, to cut straight to what your puzzle needs.
- Read the results. Words are grouped longest first, and every result uses only the letters you entered — no letter is used more times than you have it.
Tips for tough scrambles
When a jumble will not break, stop staring at the original order — write the letters in a circle or alphabetise them, which is exactly what the solver does internally. Look for common endings first: if your letters include I-N-G, E-D or E-R-S, lock those in the Ends with box and solve the shorter remainder. Vowel-heavy scrambles usually hide smaller words inside longer ones, so scan the short results too; one of them is often the puzzle's real answer. And in anagram-based crossword clues, the clue almost always tells you the answer length — set Exact length immediately.

Does it use every letter I enter? No — it finds every word that can be built from your letters, at every length. If you need a full-rack anagram only, set Exact length to the number of letters you typed.
Why is a word I know missing? The dictionary is the open ENABLE list (about 33,000 curated entries). Proper nouns, hyphenated forms and very new slang are not included.
Is it free, and is my input stored? Completely free, and the search runs in your browser — the letters you type are never uploaded or saved.
